3 SIMPLE TIPS TO HELP YOU WAKE UP EARLY
Hello world, today I am so happy to come and share with you guys one of the topics I like. I don’t like it because I am an expert on this but rather because I struggled with it.
Chileee!!waking up early at 5:00 am is not something fun I like to do 😩.
But the reason I got motivated to start that new habit is that I realized even though I don’t like it so much, it’s a discipline I need to work on.
Honestly in the first tries I was falling a lot to wake earlier until I learned these 3 tips that am going to share with you that has been helping me to stay on track in my journey of being a morning person. These tips helped to make the journey be more intentional and more purposeful so that I don’t make it a rule or a thing I want to follow because it is trending.
“Okay , 🎶Et c'est parti, pour le show
Et c'est parti, tout le monde est chaud🎶…💃🏾💃🏾”
If you don’t know that song, we are not friends 😂😂, anyway let’s go back to our business
THE 3 TIPS ARE:
Having a perspective on why you are adopting these new habits is very important. It avoids a debate with yourself or let me say phrases like « ooh today It’s too cold; let me stay in my bed »
So here is my perspective, the reason why I got to wake up early is to become more consistent with my responsibilities/hobbies. When I decide to get up at 5 a.m., Iindeed have the opportunity not only to have enough time to prepare myself for the day (praying for example), but also to have enough time to do some side hobbies like the blog which I manage from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
I write or do other creative stuff for the blog and for the Instagram feed so thatfor the rest of the day I can focus on my other tasks like work, studies and enjoying my free time in other words, from 5am to 7am I have 2 hours a day which equals to 10h per weekwhere I can work on my personal side hobbies/responsibilitiesand if we go on with the calculation, we can see that in 3 months my consistency increased, and I became more organised.
Everyone doesn’t have to wake up at 5 am specifically but must set a time to wake up in the morning that will help to be fully prepared for the day.
Every blogger knows how it is hard to be consistent but look how productive we can be if we all respected those early hours in the morning; isn’t it amazing to see ourselves being consistent with our goal?!
I want to encourage you to think about it, why do you need to do it? What is your perspective on starting the new habit ? What is at risk if you don't do it?
If you can't see it now, you can do a little research on the benefits of waking up earlier. I am sure you will be inspired in one way or another and find out why and how you are going to do it.
If you want to wake up early without any difficulties, the key is to the key is to practice good sleep hygiene routine.
In fact, the reason why it is difficult for you to wake up when the alarm clock rings isbecause you are interrupting your body or your brain from the amount of hours it needs for you to wake up feeling refreshed for the day. It's good that you first find the number of hours you need for a healthy sleep
( National Sleep Foundation guidelines advise that healthy adults need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night …)
I know it's not always easy to do better when you know better, sometimes I too don't sleep these 7hours; like last night I decided to watch an episode of my series and I ended up watching 3 of them and that's why now am still learning to be more strict and disciplined when it’s time to go to bed. We need to know that when we go to sleep, we have to avoid using our devices while waiting to fall asleepand in order for that to happen your day has to be very productive or active so at night it can be easy for you to find rest.; Learn that your bed is your space to sleep ONLY!
“You will never sit at a dinner table waiting to be hungry, so why would you lie on bed waiting for sleep?”
_ Mathew Paul Walker
And for some of us students we will need more discipline because we do everything in our rooms but that doesn't mean we can’t control our time to sleep.
I want to end this by also suggesting that you should have a day or two to sleep in, where you don't set any of your alarms and just allow your body to wake up whenever it wants. I do it for weekends; Saturdays and Sundays ☺️.
Another tip, put your alarm or phone far from your bed so that you must get out of your bed to turn off your alarm.
Find people with whom you can be comfortable with to do the challenge in order to have accountability and lessen the chances of giving up. (For example, encourage each other first to wake up 15 minutes earlier than your usual waking time and checking in your group chat if you are all awake.)
I said 15 minutes because it is wiser to start small than going to fast for example if you used to get up at 10am to start straight to wake up at 6am 😅.this maybe be possible in the beginning but will be exhausting after which may lead you to give up. Instead, start at 9.45am then after this week try to do another 15 minutes earlier until you can get the exact time you want to wake up.
As We come to the end of this, the last thing that I want you to remember is to try to not copy what others are doing, really try to be intentional and be focus on your goal and find your way your body can adopt your new healthier habits as you try to introduce it.
Keep researching the importance of good healthy sleep, so you can stay motivated to be a morning person...I highly recommend watching this video, I have attached the link ,where they explain how sleep is our super power https://youtu.be/5MuIMqhT8DM
With great , great Love and hugs lol
