How we created our product !

 

Hello beautiful people 🤗 .. Welcome to our new blog ,

this is our very first post of the year and we can't believe we've managed to reach with a lot of consistency with our posts and it’s all because of your love and support we have received from everyone.We  really appreciate every beautiful and strong soul who always take their time to comment and share with us their opinions or thoughts .. also others who DM us to encourage us ,God bless you!

  We're back with this new post that we're excited to share with you family😊 ..it will be based on our experience of starting a new business and we hope it inspires one or two people to take this step of courage/faith to start their own or career or whatever you are called upon to do.

                "It always starts with an idea"

  There is a quote I love that says, “Normal people have great ideas.  Legends have great execution .. ”which means anyone can live their dreams but it just depends on our execution and determination.

  Knowing what we want to do in our life could be that easy but can be hard sometimes to reach out to where we want when we start thinking about what we don't have! I remember when  I got the idea about the planner notebook,I started thinking what it would take for us to make it happen and emphasized on the fact that we are since all students. None of us had a job and I went on with the list of things that were missing for us to launch our products but I remembered a sermon that I watched from a preacher by the name of Michael Todd .. he said, "When you have a vision, write it down, believe it's going to happen and start preparing for it ”

  

From that day on, i decided to change on the way i thought about my situation and my thoughts shifted  from "I don't have this and that" to "What if I had everything" and i automatically started to write everything down, how it was gonna serve our audience,what would be the design etc,..

My greatest desire for you is not to lose all your attention on what you lack instead think of the way you could bring that idea to life . Start working on it, because you ‘ll never know when God sends the right relationships or opportunities straight to your dream,just be prepared for the big plan and for that you’ll need a plan to reach out! Talking from experience,one day a friend of mine told me he had a certain amount of money,he wanted to invest it in something, during that very moment i took my chance and told him what the idea had on my mind: “the planner notebook” explained everything and what we’ve been working on and about the concept of those planners, the talk came to an end and he liked the idea. He surely wanted to collaborate with Igicaniro (us) on that  project.

Okay,so back just to mention that All this happened as we were determined with this project and even though we didn't have all the kind of resources we needed, we chose to prepare for it so that if an opportunity presented itself, we wouldn't miss it.

 “How did we come up with the concept design and complete overview of the manufacturing process?”

•   First place, we looked for a graphic designer who could help us develop our ideas and not only execute what we want, but who could also improve on the final product we desired.

  As a highlight, we wanted something different from other notepad notes and added our twist to it and that's why we used our culture as a touch to make the planners notebook more authentic.

•   The next step was to explain the project to the manufacturer, which is to give the files, so they know all the details, but before doing that, we evaluated the manufacturer's capabilities so we could choose the one with the main skills

  
  

•   After considering the amount of product, our advice here is not to start with a large number as samples.  Be realistic about how people might react to your product and see if the amount you choose will be right for you to start with.

  
  

•   Then we revised the budget and negotiated

  
  

•   After all negotiations were done, we had  requested for a sample from the planner, please be sure to do this before ordering large quantities of your products.

  
  

•   The last step was to submit the final order after verifying that all new changes and previous requests had been made.  (this is also the time for a second pair of eyes to see if all is well and if no mistakes were made before you start selling)

  
  

Well, now I’m done talking about the cute part!😂

 Let's talk now about the ugly part we had to face;“the behind the scenes” or whatever you want to call it 😂 

Listen,fam,starting something new especially when you don’t have any experience is not easy at all, ...yes we did made some mistakes , yes not all of them people we worked with respected the deadlines , yes they were some complications we had with the registration of our business…I mean we went through it all but nothing made us stop because we had faith in God and trust his plan.  

In simple and few words, what I want to share with you is , not everything will go the way you planned but it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with your vision, sometimes you will have to adjust/ adapt the situation and keep going with your vision .
