How to handle anxiety Part1
Hello beautiful people!
We are going to have a significant talk on mental health.Unfortunately,it is a topic we don’t hear a lot in some communities especially in the African communities.
We’re going to see some facts about it and the way that we should react when facing it.Some few tools will be listed and we hope they help you to grow and learn from it.
Depression and anxiety,yes,they can be fought!
What is anxiety? :
It’s a natural human response that can be caused by many different things.It is what you feel when you worry or are afraid of things that can happen in the future.
In a few words,it’s a normal response to a situation you were not prepared for and you’re not in control.
Anxiety can be experienced through our thoughts, feelings or emotions and physical sensations. And for some of us,it can be a big problem to our mental health if :
Our feelings about anxiety are often experienced , which can have an impact into our thoughts and actions.
When we are out of control of our thoughts, we can’t stop thinking about what is making us stressed or depressed.
The main reason we are talking about this; is because some people are experiencing regular symptoms of anxiety and they don’t even know it , why? just because it has become a normal thing to them or their culture do not give any importance to this of talk of mental health care.They believe, they are the things for people who are weak,crazy or don’t believe in God, which is a dangerous practice we are doing here.
Y’all, let me try to slow down a little bit. I think We are giving too much information at the same time and you need some break to get it right.It’s okay you can now breathe and we can now proceed with the talk ๐ lol
Alright...so now I’m trying to get what you’re thinking as you’re reading this, some are excited with this because you feel today was the time to kick out all that stress and anxiety sabotaging your mind and life and on the other hand you are seeing change on their way while others are being like,”i don’t have any problem now so this ain’t mine”. So,the question is “why waiting?” ,most people wait for the crisis that comes with financial stress and many other issues such as diseases and others to make up their mind to change. Here it is,we can learn and make a change in a state of pain, suffering or you can learn and make the change in a state of Joy and inspiration.
The procedures we need to know about handling anxiety
When you want to protect your mental health against anxiety,stress or depression, we need to know who we really are on the inside,our “personality”! Learning everything about yourself is the first step leading to changes, for example let’s take a look on how the GPS works ; first of all,you’ll need to put the current place and then add your destination, before knowing « how you can deal with it » you must first know « why?» which will lead us into learning and understand the root of our behaviors.
I remember how much it helped me to deal with my anxiety when I did a test on YouTube and found out that I’m an introvert, for those who don’t know what it means, you can please google it. We would be out of topic to explain it, my apologies๐ .
Okay,so as an introvert, they likely think a lot ๐ค and create scenarios in their heads. Well,that’s something beneficial but can also use it for the worst, briefly that was an example to help you to understand how important it is.
The second thing you need to know is that making changes is not something you can do overnight. It’s a process because when you make choices in changing your toxic habits into new ones,your body is going to resist them.
And let me tell you something..that’s normal,there’s a Neuroscientist whose name is Dr. Joe Dispenza.
He explains how the moment you decide to make a different choice you need to be ready, because it will feel very uncomfortable. The body is in the unknown and wants to return back to what is familiar, so the body starts unfollowing the mind which leads us to thoughts like I can’t do it.
He explains more about how the body has become the unconscious mind,that’s why sometimes we like to give these kinds of excuses “ ooh I don’t know what I was thinking when I did this ” ..literally you’re not thinking at that moment, it was your body reacting the same way to a familiar situation ,it has been programmed for a long time to always react the same way because of your repeated habits. Well, in order to change that you need a lot of determination,self encouragement and mainly speaking life to yourself.Train your mind not to stay focused on what is going on outside but pay attention to make yourself feel better inside. Don’t look how far you have to go, look how far you have come.
The moment you start feeling abundant and worthy you’re generating wealth.
The moment you’re empowered and feel it, you're beginning to step towards your success.
The moment you start loving yourself you can feel loved.
You can’t wait for your success to feel empowered.
You can’t wait for your wealth to feel abundance .
You can’t wait for your new relationship to feel loved.
PS: You don’t have to live as a victim in your world saying, I’m this way because of this person or that experience. They made me think and feel this way.
Switch that and become a creator of your own world. your calling, your story . Don’t let anything or anyone other than God define who you really are.
